Winter 7v7 Football

We are excited to announce our first year of Winter 7v7 football in Rogers! We were able to secure space in the new fieldhouse and we are looking forward to being able to get the kids together to have some fun during these winter months.

7v7 is a fast-paced, non-contact format of football that allows players to sharpen their fundamentals, enhance their football IQ, and build confidence—all while staying active and having fun. Each week, athletes will focus on passing, route running, and defensive strategy—core elements of the 7v7 game. Whether your child is preparing for tackle football, looking to improve their skills, or simply wants to stay active and connected this winter, this league offers the perfect mix of competition, development, and community.

As this is our first year offering Winter 7v7, we’ll be combining a two grade levels and trying to create balanced teams with a mix of players from the grouped grades. Due to limited space, registration will be capped, and each team will have a maximum of 14 players.

5th/6th grade combined: 4 total teams (max of 56 kids total)

7th/8th grade combined: 4 total teams (max of 56 kids total)

We’re already looking ahead! Based on interest, we hope to expand our Winter 7v7 League to include more grades next season. We can’t wait to kick off a great winter of football and fun.

Space is limited, so sign up soon!

  • Coaches will have their own athlete on their team and can choose ONE other player or assistant coach to be on their team!
  • Each coach will receive a free RYFA Coach's t-shirt
  • A playbook and coaching materials will be provided upon request. No experience necessary!
  • A pre-season coaches meeting will be held to answer any questions

Trusted Coaches

All COACHES MUST COMPLETE Trusted coaches SAFETY TRAINING

Safety training is mandatory for all coaches within RYFA. The training covers abuse awareness, reporting, and player safety. Refresher courses will be every two years.

History

In 2018, Congress passed The Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017 (the SafeSport Act). The legislation is aimed at preventing and reporting child abuse in youth sports by expanding the categories of “mandatory reporters” and requiring organizations to provide enhanced training.

In addition to requiring training, the SafeSport Act also expands the definition of mandatory reporter to include any “adult who is authorized, by a national governing body, a member of the national governing body…to interact with a minor or amateur athlete at an amateur sports organization facility or at any event sanctioned by a national governing body, a member of a national governing body, or such an amateur sports organization.” RYFA urges all adults to understand their reporting obligations outlined below.
