2nd - 6th Grade Tackle
We are part of North Star Youth Football League.
The North Star Youth Football League is an informal association of communities located in the North Metro Area organized with the intent to provide a football league for youth in grades 2-6.
The restriction on the weight of ball carriers are as follows:
- 2nd - 3rd grade: 90 pounds
- 4th grade: 105 pounds
- 5th grade: 125 pounds
- 6th grade: 135 pounds
Schedules will be created by the North Star League Directors. The League will establish deadlines for each community to submit the amount of teams participating by grade level, their home field availability, and any other scheduling considerations.

2.A minimum of 2 Coaches per team must be recognized as Trusted Coaches or an equivalent program that provides verified concussion certification, child abuse prevention training, background checks, and FREE GSFL Coaches Training Module. – Prior to first game
7th & 8th Grade Tackle
We have joined Gopher State Football League (GSFL)
The North Metro Youth Football League, Twin Cities North Football League and Minnesota Youth Athletic Services (MYAS) have joined forces to roll out a new League Fall 2025!
Grades 7-8 Player Eligibility: Players must be 13 years old or younger as of August 15 for 7th grade, and 14 years old or younger as of August 15 for 8th grade.
We follow the maximum recommended roster sizes: 7th-8th Grade at 11-Man with 33 Players
Grades 7-8 Season Format:
- 11-man format
- Four 10-minute stop-time quarters (modified timing)
- Nine (9) total games (8 league games + 1 bowl game)
If scheduling allows, all teams will play a mix of weekend and weeknight games:
- Grades 5-8: 9 total games (six weekend games and three weeknight games).
Teams can also opt to play additional non-league games, which can be arranged through the Managing Directors.
The GSFL will conduct grade specific coaches meetings, beginning in August based on each grade level.

2.Attend any of the following Coaches Clinics
- GSFL/MFCA Coaches Clinic – July TBD Register via GSFL Website
- RYFA Coaches Clinic - July TBD at Rogers High School
3.Attend GSFL Coaches Meeting - Required Preseason Coaches Meetings (min. of 2 coaches per team)
- 5th - 8th Grade Coaches Meeting – August TBD
