Tackle - Scoreboard Instructions

We are fortunate to have scoreboards on most of our fields in Rogers, but many organizations do not have the luxury. If the game official is unwilling to run the scoreboard controller, and if you want the scoreboard showing running time, score and quarter during the game, the Rogers home team will need to supply someone to run the scoreboard controller.

This is a new task for our organization. RYFA realizes this may be inconvenient. If you as the head coach are comfortable with no running scoreboard, the referees on the field will manage the game clock with their own devices, but a public-facing running game time and score on the scoreboard will not be available for the coaches, players and fans to see. If you want the scoreboard running, you'll need to find someone to run the scoreboard controller from the sideline (head coaches are not expected to run the scoreboard clock controller while coaching), similar to youth basketball games. RYFA suggests asking a trusted parent/adult to run the scoreboard for your games if the officials are not willing to run the scoreboard controller during the game.

Scoreboard procedure:

• Scoreboards come with a wristband controller (Except NCP4 which is Bluetooth): 
• Controllers can be found in the bunker near NCP 4 in a combination-lock box. Lock combination is: 2-4-6-8. PLEASE DO NOT SHARE THIS COMBINATION WITH ANYONE. NO KIDS ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE THIS COMBINATION.
• The controllers are marked by field: RMS 1, RMS 2, NCP 5. Use the appropriate controller for each field.
• See attached images for controller information.
• After the games, 
• If there is another game after your game, find the Rogers home team to give the controller to for his/her game.
• If yours is the last game of the day/night, controllers need to be put back into the lock box.
• When put back in the lockbox, controllers need to be plugged back into the charger for the next day’s game.
