2021 NFL FLAG football registration now open


Set your summer evening plans now by signing up your child for NFL FLAG football with Rogers Youth Football Association. 

The season will begin June 28, 2021, and will run through August 11, 2021. In order to avoid scheduling conflicts with tackle football, RYFA has moved up the start of the Flag season. 

Registration fee: $100 

Registration close: June 5, 2021

Season Start: June 28, 2021

Season end: August 11, 2021

NFL FLAG from RYFA is open to boys and girls going into grades K-8th for the 2021-2022 school year. Participants from local communities are welcome to register. Registration fees have not changed - only $100 per player for all grades K-8. All participants receive an NFL FLAG jersey and flag football flags and belt.

Participants will have two nights' of flag activities each week (practice and/or games). Teams and team weekly schedules have not been established yet.

COVID-19 safety precautions and procedures, as outlined by the state of Minnesota, will be considered by Rogers Youth Football Association in an attempt to keep players, coaches and parents participating in flag football this summer as safe as possible. Detailed COVID-19 guidelines and procedures for flag practices and games will be provided in the near future as Rogers Youth Football Association continues to monitor and adjust to the evolving Minnesota's Stay Safe Plan.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

If you no longer feel comfortable with your child playing flag football with RYFA after registering, you will have until June 5, 2021, to notify RYFA with your request to cancel your flag football registration and get a full refund of your registration fee - no questions asked. If RYFA does not hear from you by or after June 5, 2021, RYFA assumes you still intend for your child to play flag football with RYFA for the 2021 season.

RYFA 2021 Tackle Football Start date


Rogers Youth Football Association tackle football starts Aug. 16, 2021, and runs through late October/early November. Game schedule is not set and likely will not be set until end of August. Kickoff extravaganza event date is August 4th, 2021.

Due to the fluid nature COVID-19 rules and considerations, all football dates are subject to change at this point.

Who is Rogers Youth Football Association?

Rogers Youth Football Association is a non-profit organization focusing on youth development through the teaching of football fundamentals for both tackle and flag football.

Our 2nd-3rd grade tackle league is our teaching, non-competitive league. Our 4th-6th grade tackle league is our competitive house league partnering. Grades 2-6 will play in the Twin Cities North Youth Football League starting in 2020 Games are played in both Rogers and other TCNYFL surrounding communities.

Our 7th-8th grade tackle league is highly competitive in the North Suburban League with several north metro communities. All of our coaches are parent volunteers, and without their support, we could not be as successful as Rogers Youth Football has been over the last several years.

Starting in 2020, RYFA is happy to add Rogers Flag Football to the fold. The flag football league is open to boys and girls K-8th grade. The league is  fun, low-pressure experience meant to give boys and girls the opportunity learn the game of football in a non-contact environment.

2020 Flag Football Champions Crowned


The 2020 playoffs concluded Thursday, Aug. 21, 2020, with titles won in Grades 1-8. Over 400 kids participated in Rogers Flag Football this season, keeping the spirit and excitement of the game alive during challenging times for everyone. 

Thank you to all players, parents, referees, coaches and volunteers who made this another great Flag Football season in Rogers.

RYFA Expanding its Footprint

RYFA joining Twin Cities North Youth Football League

Will impact Grades 2-6 for 2020 Season

In order to provide a wider range of competition and a variety of opponents, RYFA has voted to join Twin Cities North Youth Football League (TCNYFL) for the 2020 season.

Instead of Elk River as our only playing partner, RYFA teams will be playing other surrounding communities/organizations that make up the TCNYFL.


Rogers Flag Football to Merge with RYFA in 2020

No changes to player experience expected

Rogers Youth Football Association is happy to announce that Rogers Flag Football is merging with our association in 2020.

With unprecedented growth and success of Rogers Flag Football, the need has arisen to manage the flag program through a more formal, structured body. RYFA and Rogers Flag Football has come to an agreement to merge the two organizations into one.
