Tackle Football

Rogers Youth Football Association (RYFA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing young athletes through the teaching of football fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and character. We provide opportunities for players of all experience levels to learn and compete in a positive, supportive environment.

Our tackle football program serves athletes in 2nd-8th grade. Players in grades 2nd-6th compete in the North Star Youth Football League, where the emphasis is on skill development, player growth, and competitive game experiences against communities throughout the north metro area. Players in grades 7th-8th compete in the Gopher State Football League (GSFL), one of Minnesota's premier youth football leagues, providing a competitive experience that helps prepare athletes for high school football.

RYFA is proud to be a volunteer-driven organization. Our coaches and board members dedicate countless hours to creating a positive experience for every athlete. Their commitment to teaching the game the right way is the foundation of our program's success.

Football is a team sport that requires dedication, accountability, and commitment. As members of RYFA, players and families are expected to support their teammates by attending practices, games, and team activities throughout the season.

The season will begin August 3rd, 2026, and will run into October (week after MEA).

Registration Opens: June 1st, 2026

Early Bird Pricing Closes: July 8th, 2026

Early Bird Registration Cost: $160 (2nd/3rd), $225 (4th-6th), $275 (7th/8th)

(Registration cost will go up July 9th, 2026)

Start of Tackle Football Practice: August 3rd, 2026

Please note that all 7th and 8th Grade players need to complete a second registration through Minnesota Youth Athletic Services (MYSA) - no additional fee.

1. Create an account with MYAS RegisterPlay using PARENT information (Account owner must be over 18, do not use your players information) https://myasrp.com/auth/register
2. **If you already have a family account through MYAS RegisterPlay (from travel baseball, basketball, etc) with your player(s) already added, no further action is required. If you have an MYAS account for another child, skip to Step 2 in guide below**

As with every youth sport, WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! All coaching positions are filled by volunteers and we will need families to step up and help. As a thank you to those who sign up to volunteer, we will be offering the following...

• Coaches will have their own athlete on their team and can choose TWO other coaches to be on their team!
• A playbook and coaching materials will be provided. No experience necessary!
• A pre-season coaches meeting will be held to answer any questions
