Summer 7v7 Football
Welcome to our 7v7 Football League, designed for athletes in grades 6–8. This co-ed, non-contact league offers a fast-paced and exciting way for players to take their football skills to the next level in a fun and supportive environment.
With two nights of practices and/or games each week, athletes will have consistent opportunities to develop their skills, improve football IQ, and experience competitive gameplay. The 7v7 format emphasizes passing, route running, coverage, and defensive strategy, helping players sharpen key fundamentals while building confidence and teamwork.
Teams are kept small to ensure maximum playing time for every participant, making this league ideal for athletes who want meaningful reps and steady development. Whether players are preparing for a future transition to tackle football or simply looking to enhance their skills in a recreational setting, our 7v7 league provides the perfect platform.
Sign up today and get ready for a season filled with skill development, competition, and fun!
Volunteers Needed
As with every youth sports program, we rely on parent volunteers to make our season possible. All coaching positions are filled by volunteers, and we need families to step up and help create a fun, positive experience for our players.
No coaching experience is necessary—just a willingness to support kids, encourage teamwork, and have fun!
Why Volunteer as a Coach?
To thank those who volunteer, RYFA offers the following perks and support:
- ✅ Your own athlete will be placed on your team
- ✅ You may choose ONE additional player or assistant coach to be on your team
- ✅ Playbook and coaching materials provided
- ✅ Free RYFA Coach’s t-shirt
- ✅ Pre-season coaches meeting to review rules, expectations, and answer questions
Coaches are fully supported throughout the season and are never expected to do it alone. If you can encourage effort, teach sportsmanship, and help kids have fun, you’re already qualified.

All COACHES MUST COMPLETE Trusted coaches SAFETY TRAINING
Safety training is mandatory for all coaches within RYFA. The training covers abuse awareness, reporting, and player safety. Refresher courses will be every two years.
History
In 2018, Congress passed The Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017 (the SafeSport Act). The legislation is aimed at preventing and reporting child abuse in youth sports by expanding the categories of “mandatory reporters” and requiring organizations to provide enhanced training.
