Prospective Coaches Application Process


Step 1:

Complete the state of Minnesota's required online Concussion Training and save a copy of your completion certificate to your computer.  You will be asked to enter your certification # in your coaches registration (step 3). 

Step 2:

Complete the Background Screening process and Abuse Prevention Systems Training course, both of which are required to be considered for a head coach or assistant coach position.

Step 3:

Complete the online Coaching Application.

  • A Sports Engine log-in will be required.
  • Concussion Training completed required
  • Background check completion required

Coaching FAQs

Q: Can I be a coach if I've never played or coached football?

A: Yes, our 2nd / 3rd grade league is primarily for player development. We have resource packages for coaches to cover practice drills, sample plays, player positions, rules and expectations.

Q: What are the travel requirements for coaches?

A: 2nd / 3rd Grade Leagues play in Rogers only, 4th - 6th Grade Leagues will play in Rogers and Elk River, 7th & 8th Grade Leagues play in the North Suburban League where field locations vary. 

Q: Is my child guaranteed to play on my team?

A: Yes, the child registered for the team level you are coaching will be placed on your team. 

Q: How many assistant coaches can I select?

A: Each Head Coach can select one assistant coach in advance of the season and their child will be guaranteed a place on the same team. Additional assistant coaches can be selected but placement of their child(ren) is not guaranteed.
