Kick off the 2024 football season with RYFA Event Extravaganza

July 24th Event open to kids in Grades 2-8 and their families

Rogers Youth Football Association is excited to announce the Tackle Football Kickoff Event on August 24th, 2023, from 5-8 pm at the Prairie View Elementary Fields. The event is meant to bring families, current players and future players together and answer questions parents have about the 2024 tackle football program.

Who

All kids grades 2-8 and their families are encouraged to attend this event, even if you’ve not already signed up for tackle football or have not played in the past. Kids are encouraged to wear their previous jerseys. Rogers Youth Football Association staff will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about tackle football.

Where

• Prairie View Elementary School parking lot and fields.

When

• July 24th, 5-8 pm
• Staggered Player weigh-in schedule*
  • 2rd, 3rd, & 4th  grade – 5 pm
  • 5th & 6th grade – 6 pm 
  • 7th & 8th grade – 7 pm

 *Time slots are set to prevent over crowding.  It is not mandatory to weigh-in at the scheduled time, but preferred.

What

Season prep

• Players officially weigh-in for the 2024 tackle football season. 
• Professional equipment fittings by Dave’s Sports Shop of Maple Grove.
• Registration for Rogers/Otsego Schools players (if not already registered)
• Try on and/or purchase new football equipment from Dave's Sports Shop.

Equipment and apparel

• 20% discount available on new equipment from Dave's Sport Shop.
• New Royals apparel from 10K Lettering will also be available for sale.

Fun and games

• Tug-o-war 
• Punt/pass/kick inflatables
• Tackling dummies
• Sprint race contest by grade (need not to be present to win)
• Football toss contest by grade (need not to be present to win)
• Winners of contests will be announced on the RYFA website and football page as well will receive a special prize! 

Food

• No need to worry about feeding the family!
• Food and refreshments available (cash only):
  • Hot Dogs
  • Popcorn 
  • Ice Cream truck
